A GOODBYE POEM FOR SPEED

The moment you came along
You cast a spell on me
And from that moment on
I could not get my eyes off the TV

I liked to see your often sullen face
Whenever you were working on some trace
And your ironic, sarcastic ways
Used to brighten my days

Until one day you exhaled your last breath
In the arms of a friend you met your violent death
A bullet knocked you to the floor
And suddenly you were no more

Helplessly I watched you bleed
And just like that I lost my Speed
Now I am forced to say goodbye
To my favourite CSI
And because of that fatal uncleaned gun
I'm like the Earth without her Sun

And for all my pain and grief
There is only one relief
Even if never again will I be able to see Tim
Nothing can take away my memories of him

This was the first one I wrote inspired by Speed's death, in episode "Lost Son".
